STEM - Day 7: Dr. Kathy Browne (Assistant Provost, TLC Director) gave the students some background info about the lake restoration project and specifically our holistic approach to address the purple loosestrife "invasion" of the lake's shorelines. The following day, students collected data on the occurrence of loosestrife and compared their results to data from previous years. In the afternoon, students learned about strategies for estimation, performed a Chi-square analysis and also prepared cicada specimens for display.
